LaToya owns and operates Awesome Respite Childcare Services, LLC. Awesome Respite is an in-home and community-based childcare agency for children with special needs. LaToya has over 14 years of experience in the field of special needs, specifically working with children with Down Syndrome and on the Autism Spectrum. In addition to being a Mental Health Therapist, LaToya has served as a Special Education Teacher, a Behavioral Therapist, and Residential Aide. She has used her previous experiences to create a childcare agency for families raising children with special needs. Awesome Respite provides in-home supports to children 3-21 years of age. Awesome Respite employs a diverse population of employees with an emphasis on employing, empowering, and creating opportunities for young Black adults interested in respite and behavioral health care.
