Markita Cumberlander M.Ed., BCBA, COBA she/her/hers

Markita Cumberlander is a Behavior Analyst who has been in the field of ABA for nine years. She is currently the Clinical Lead and Owner of a private practice located in Columbus, Ohio. Her organization was founded upon the principals of creating a space for clinicians to comfortably provide services to individuals who are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder while simultaneously uplifting their cultural norms and experiences.

Markita has experience working in several settings within the field including the following:
Boarding Academies for children who are considered unsafe to live in their home environment
Schools including private, public and schools created for children with Autism
Group Homes
Hospital and Clinic Settings
Private Home settings
And of course, the Community environment

While working in the above settings, she has obtained the opportunities and expertise to produce results in maladaptive behavior reduction, skill acquisition, parent training and provider training for families who are within the Autism Community who have a loved one with moderate to severe behaviors. These experiences have shaped Markita's career and created a passion and legacy that she plans to continue throughout her community, the state of Ohio and in the future, across the nation.
