Mrs. Shanelle Downing, M.A., BCBA, LBA

Shanelle Downing is a proud Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Ball State & Temple University Alum. She has 9 years of experience in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis, with 2 1/2 of those years practicing as a BCBA. Shanelle began her ABA journey unknowingly as a clinical assistant on the Neurobehavioral Unit and clinical supervisor on a Pediatric Feeding Unit. She has clinical and supervisory experience in hospital-based, center-based and in-home settings. Shanelle is currently working with in-home clients aged 4-18 years of age and their families. Shanelle is most passionate about the diagnostic aspect of Autism and how misdiagnosis or delayed diagnosis plays a significant part in our client population, primarily within the African American community. She is currently gearing up to begin research that targets the diagnosis process for autism and the barriers surrounding it for African American families.
